We had a great service on TUesday!  We had 4 in the baptism class and we had a great time teaching that.  Next Sunday we are having our baptism service and we know God is going to do great things!

I’m kind of starting to feel the effects of my trip coming to an end here in South Africa.  Things are starting to wind down, but I’m trying not to think about that as hard as it may be. I love this country and this city and I know God is only going to do greater things when I am not here.  Bro. Davis has an awesome vision for Johannesburg and we are starting to see some things come to pass.  Turning Point Community Church is having revival and we are growing!  If you get a chance go to www.turningpointza.com and check out the church’s website and Bro. Davis’ blog, but dont forget to download the messages he has been preaching the last 3 Sundays.  I beleive they are messages every body needs to hear.  The Jesus Life, The Examined Life, and The Holy Life!  Keep SA in your prayers!

altar call in Lesotho
altar call in Lesotho

We had a great time in Lesotho on Sunday. It’s a small country inside of South Africa that really is beautiful. We traveled the 1 1/2 hours from Bloemfontein on Sunday to see Bro. Kline and his church. After Bro. Davis was finished speaking we had an amzing altar call and 4 got the Holy Ghost. It was beautiful to see young people praying other young people through to the Holy Ghost!

Squatter Camp
Squatter Camp
For the last 2 months i have seen both extremes of South Africa, extreme beauty and extreme poverty.  It’s hard to believe that someone can just take a piece of metal found on the side of the road, build a house, hold down the roof with a couple tires and live their. But right next door to the shacks our mansions, beautiful 2 story homes that have classy and elegant.  It’s amazing to see the nice homes then amazingly sad to see how some other people have to live.  I catch myself sometimes just trying to be comfortable while I am here and not trying to do much.  I have to make myself realize sometimes that even though people live in squatter camps and not big nice homes that they still need Jesus too.  I get so mad at myself because there is so much that needs to be done and I just want to sit here and not do it.  My flesh a lot of times tells me somebody else will do the job, but im not satisfied with somebody else doing the job.  I am in a country where a woman gets rapped every 5 seconds, there is a murder every 7 minutes, a hi-jacking every 5 minutes, and 10 million people here are HIV positive.  Sometimes i think to I must have been crazy to come here, but I am sold out to the Gospel. I believe God can turn around any situation! We were in sub-regional a few weeks ago and Bro. Richardson was talking about how we don’t have enough people anymore that are willing to die for the truth.  God really began to deal with me at that meeting and I began to realize that I want to be one of those people. I want to be willing to lay my life down spiritually and physically.  I love these people here in South Africa and even though I might not have no idea what the Lord has in store for me i am going to do all I can to amke a diifference while I am here and anywhere else i am!!
